About Annie

Annie Straka is a self-taught, contemporary abstract painter. She trained as a dancer for many years before finding painting as a new form of expression - one that makes her feel more deeply like herself. Her work is figurative and abstract, rooted in color, form, and the quiet surprise of seeing something emerge from nothing. Her current work explores themes of reinvention, growth, and embodiment.

Annie works full-time in higher education and lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and three kiddos.
